Bill splitting · on-chain · one link
Split the bill.
Not the friendship.
Send one link. Everyone taps their share and pays. No more “I’ll send it tomorrow.”
0 of 4 paid · $0.00 of $80.00 collected
Why it works
A pain everyone knows, wedged open.
“You owe me $30” is friction everyone feels
People forget, feel awkward chasing friends, or just let it slide. Splitzy removes the ask.
Every split is a link to 2–10 people
Some of them don’t have the app yet. The classic wedge-in growth loop — now on-chain. See the loop →
You don’t need to “believe in crypto”
You use it because it’s the easiest way to pay your share back. That’s the whole pitch.
Stop being the group’s bank.
Create a split in under a minute. The people paying you need nothing but the link.
How it works
Four taps from “I covered it” to settled.
Every step is built so the person paying never has to think about crypto — or download anything to see what they owe.
- 01
Create the split
“Dinner last night, $80, split 4 ways.” Even shares or line-by-line — your call. Pick the stablecoin you want to be paid in.
- 02
Send one link
Drop it in the group chat — SMS, WhatsApp, Messenger. Opening it needs no app and no account. Each person just sees their own share.
- 03
They pay their share
Card or Apple Pay auto-converts to your stablecoin through a licensed on-ramp. Already have a wallet? Pay direct in two taps, no conversion fee.
- 04
You get the all-clear
One notification when the last person pays. No spreadsheet, no chasing, no mental ledger — and a full record if anyone asks later.
Why it spreads
Onboarding by necessity.
Nobody goes looking for a crypto app. But you’ll happily make a wallet in 20 seconds to pay a friend back. Every new user is passively onboarded through a split they didn’t create themselves.
1 user → 1 link → a group → a group that all pays in crypto
Beyond one dinner
The splits that usually go unpaid.
Group gifts, tracked live
Start a pool for the leaving present, share the link, watch who’s chipped in without asking a soul. Excess is refunded automatically.
Rent and subscriptions, on autopilot
Set the amount and the day. Splitzy re-splits it every month and nudges the stragglers, not you.
Proof of hassle saved
“12 splits created — 40 awkward money texts the group never had to send.”
One link. Everyone square.
The people paying you don’t need an account, a wallet, or a single opinion about crypto.
The $SPLIT token
A token you earn by settling up, not by speculating.
$SPLIT exists to make the app cheaper and more social. It is not the point of Splitzy — splitting bills is. Held or not, you get $SPLIT by actually using the app.
Lower fees the more you hold
Your $SPLIT balance sets your fee tier. Frequent splitters and light holders both pay less — there’s no whale gate.
Cashback on every completed split
A small $SPLIT reward lands when everyone has paid. It rewards activity, not just a big wallet sitting still.
Round up & tip the organizer
Round your share to the nearest dollar and send the difference in $SPLIT to whoever fronted the bill. A small, social thank-you.
$SPLIT is a utility token for fees and rewards. It is not an investment, confers no ownership, and nothing here is financial advice.
Fee tiers
What holding actually changes.
Illustrative tiers — final rates depend on network conditions and your payment method. Paying by card always adds the on-ramp partner’s conversion fee, which Splitzy doesn’t set.
| Tier | $SPLIT held | Splitzy fee / split | Cashback |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base | 0 | 1.0% | 0.5% |
| Plus | 250+ | 0.6% | 0.8% |
| Core | 1,000+ | 0.3% | 1.2% |
| Regular | 5,000+ | 0.1% | 1.5% |
Earn it by using it.
Your first completed split pays out cashback automatically — no staking, no lockup.
FAQ
The questions your group will ask.
Short answers. If something here is unclear, ask us on X.
Do my friends need the app to pay me?
No. The split link opens in any browser. They see their share and pay by card or Apple Pay without creating an account. The app is only worth installing once someone wants to send splits themselves.
What currency does the money end up in?
Whatever stablecoin you chose when creating the split — USDC by default. Card and Apple Pay payments are auto-converted to that stablecoin by a licensed on-ramp partner. If a payer already has a wallet, they send the stablecoin directly with no conversion.
What are the fees?
A small Splitzy fee per split (1% at the base tier, less if you hold $SPLIT) plus the underlying network fee, which on the low-cost chains Splitzy uses is typically a fraction of a cent. Paying by card adds the on-ramp partner’s conversion fee on top — paying directly from a wallet avoids it.
Does Splitzy hold my money?
Wallet-to-wallet payments are non-custodial — funds move straight to the wallet you nominate. Card payments pass briefly through a regulated payment partner during conversion. Splitzy never takes custody of your balance for safekeeping.
Which blockchains does it use?
Low-fee layer-2 networks such as Base and Polygon. You don’t choose — Splitzy routes each split to keep fees negligible and settlement near-instant.
What if someone overpays, or never pays?
Open splits refund anything over the target automatically. On a fixed split, the organizer can send excess back in one tap. If someone doesn’t pay, Splitzy nudges them on a schedule you set and shows you exactly who’s outstanding — there’s no debt collection and no interest.
Is $SPLIT an investment?
No. It’s a utility token that lowers your fees and pays cashback on completed splits. It confers no ownership and is not offered as an investment. Nothing on this site is financial advice.
Where does Splitzy work?
Paying directly from a crypto wallet works anywhere a wallet does. Card and Apple Pay top-ups depend on the on-ramp partner’s coverage in your region, shown at checkout before you pay.
Legal
The important bits, in plain words.
This is a plain-language summary for a concept site. It is not the full terms of service or privacy policy and is not legal advice.
Using Splitzy
Splitzy is a tool for splitting shared costs between people who already agreed to split them. You’re responsible for the amounts and recipients you enter. Splits are requests to pay, not binding debts, and Splitzy doesn’t chase, lend, or guarantee payment.
Money movement
Wallet-to-wallet payments settle on public blockchains and are irreversible once confirmed. Card and Apple Pay payments are processed by regulated third-party partners under their own terms. Stablecoin values are intended to track a currency but can vary, and network conditions can affect fees and timing.
Privacy
Splitzy collects what it needs to run a split — the amount, the participants you add, and payment status. Split links are unguessable and show a recipient only their own share. On-chain transactions are inherently public. We don’t sell personal data.
$SPLIT
$SPLIT is a utility token used for fee discounts and cashback. It is not a security, confers no ownership or profit rights, and is not offered as an investment.
